maple story even though i haven't had any hands on time with maple story but it looks okay for a free mmo
Fly For Fun is pretty good.It's Korean, so Lot of grinding, but still fu, with a very active community.

There's nothing else but grind and more grind. Like literally.Everything you can do is grind! Solitaire > Maplestory. At least one doesn't waste bandwith.
I´m playing a lot Angels Online right now...don´t know why this game caught me,well maybe because it has the greatest community I´ve me until now.Don´t let the cute design fool you...the bosses are really strong and through that it´s pretty easy to find friends to help.Plus the game is pretty new (open beta since monday) so you are not overrun by people who are so strong that they Ignore you.The other I recommend are: 9Dragons,Tales of Pirates,Dream of Mirror (DOMO) and Trickster.If you´re searching for something a bit more action-oriented take a look at Lunia.
